Dr. Jason Ocampo
Dr Jason Ocampo graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Alfonso X el Sabio, (Spain).
Dr. Laura Su
Dr Laura graduated from The University of Sydney with degrees in Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Dentistry. She is both fluent in English and Mandarin.
Upon graduation, she has worked in both public and private clinics and brings her wealth of experience to our team at Dee Why Family Dental.
She has completed further education in various clinical courses including management of TMJ, endodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr Laura particularly likes general family dentistry. This is where she excels in providing patients with an understanding of their dental health and hygiene so that they feel less embarrassed about asking important questions and empowering them to make better decisions about their dental health.
Her favourite part of dentistry is treating children, restoring broken down teeth with more aesthetic crown and bridgework and periodontics (which ties in nicely with dental hygiene).
She chose dentistry as a career because she loves interacting with people and helping them make a difference to their overall wellbeing.
Dr Laura loves maintaining her own active and healthy lifestyle with cooking (ps: she bakes the best Nesquick brownies) and balance her time outside of work hours with family and friends.
Dr. Philip Liang
Dr Philip first graduated with a degree in Physiology from The University of Toronto (Canada). He then graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry from The University of Sydney.
He has worked around Sydney in the region of the lower North Shore and Hornsby in both public and private dental clinics.
Dr Philip has completed further education in endodontics and orthodontics.
He particularly likes restorative dentistry which includes repairing broken teeth and restoring teeth as close to their natural state using aesthetic crown and bridge. Apart from that, he also likes doing root canal treatment and children’s dentistry. He believes very strongly in keeping up to date with all the changes in dentistry and regularly attends continuing education courses.
Dr Philip recommends for kids to get an early introduction to dental care. This can start as early as 6 months of age. The important things to note are what to expect when kids are teething, how to help them keep their teeth clean and get into a hygiene routine as well as information on nutrition and why this is important in developing baby teeth and beyond.
Dr Philip chose dentistry as a career because he enjoys interacting with people of all ages and to make a difference to their overall health and wellbeing with early preventative care.
Outside of work, he enjoys bush walking with his wife and family and also keeps fit by playing soccer weekly
